Our Work

THE BRAVEST CLUB

Every Wednesday Night | During the School Term

The Bravest Club is our weekly youth development and leadership mentoring space — built for young people who are ready to grow, lead, and step into who they’re called to be.

We meet every Wednesday night throughout the school term, creating a consistent space where young people can show up, be known, and be developed.

OUR HEART

Our aim is simple:
To provide opportunities today for the next generation of tomorrow.

Everything we do is about building young people from the inside out — not just what they do, but who they are becoming.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each week is different, but always intentional:

  • Leadership and personal development sessions
  • Real conversations that challenge and grow
  • Sport, games, and connection
  • Mentoring and guidance
  • A space to belong

OUR DIFFERENCE

We don’t just run sessions — we build people.

Through a relationship-first approach, we create an environment where trust is built, confidence grows, and leadership is developed.

We are proud to bridge the gap between sport, faith, and community, using what young people love to help shape who they become.

THE OUTCOME

Young people leave The Bravest Club:

  • More confident
  • More self-aware
  • More connected
  • Ready to lead in their schools, homes, and community

SONS OF OTARA

More than a program | this is a brotherhood.

Sons of Ōtara is a sports-based mentoring and leadership programme designed to develop young men through discipline, consistency, and connection on and off the field.

We have the blessing of doing this in partnership with the Tangaroa College 1st Xlll

Built through rugby league, but focused on the man behind the jersey, this programme is about raising young men who are ready to represent their school, their families, and their community the right way.

WHAT IT IS

A structured program in preparations for NZ rugby league secondary schools nations that combines:

  • High-performance rugby league training
  • Pastoral care and mentoring
  • Leadership development
  • Accountability and discipline

OUR AIM

To develop young men who are:

  • Physically strong
  • Mentally resilient
  • Disciplined and accountable
  • Proud of who they are and where they come from

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

  • We replicate high-performance environments in a space where resources are limited
  • We focus on attendance, behaviour, and growth — not just talent
  • We build strong relationships between players, mentors, school, and whānau
  • We use sport as the vehicle, but development as the mission

THE OUTCOME

Young men who, show up in school, in training, and in life

  • Lead by example
  • Represent with pride
  • Have direction, purpose, and belief in themselves

ELITE CAMP

Totara Springs

Every year on Auckland Anniversary Weekend, our BRAVES TEAM heads to Tōtara Springs, Matamata for our annual Elite Sports Camp.

We take a squad of 40 Athletes to compete against 15 other teams from across the North Island.

Over the weekend, our team is challenged physically, mentally, and spiritually.

TEEN/YOUTH CAMP

Willow Park

At the start of the Term 3 holidays, BRAVES TEAM takes a group of 20 young people to Willow Park Christian Camp for an unforgettable weekend.

This is a time to step away from the normal routine and step into something deeper.

ADULT CAMP

Willow Park

Adult Camp is how we close the year! strong and with the family.

We take a group of 20 adults to Willow Park Christian Camp to not only finish the year well, but to prepare for what’s ahead — especially Elite Camp in January.

SUNDAY SESSION

Sunday Sports

Once a month.
One space.
One focus.

Bridging the gap between Sport & Faith.
Creating space for real community connection.

Sunday Sessions are designed to slow things down — giving the community the opportunity to unpack Scripture, play sports, ask real questions, and grow in their faith.

WEDNESDAY POP UP'S

Park Outreach 274

Park Outreach 274 is about being visible, consistent, and intentional in the community. Mathew 5:16 #LetitSHINE

We run simple, engaging activations like:
• sports
• Music and chill spaces
• Free BBQ
• Sharing the Gospel in real, relatable ways

SEASONAL ACTIVATION

Sunday Sports

AVES Tag Run is where competition meets purpose.

It’s an opportunity for our young people to compete, represent, and perform! while also creating space to share the Gospel in a real and powerful way.

Braves Tag Run is another space where young people can express their gifts, grow in confidence, and understand that their platform can be used for more than just the game.

SEASONAL DROP

BRAVES Clothing is our way of wearing the message — bold, faith-driven pieces that speak without saying a word. Every drop is intentional, designed to reflect who we are and what we stand for.

All funds go back into what matters most — supporting our programmes, serving our community, and continuing to boldly share the Gospel.
Everything we do is about fueling the main thing.
